018	（英会話リスニングスクリプト） Last August, my boyfriend and I went to Guam. It was almost a year since our last holiday together, so we were happy to spend some time together. We were there for 10 days. We spent most of the mornings on the beach and, in the afternoons, we went shopping because it was too hot to sunbathe. It was a wonderful holiday, and on our last night in Guam he proposed marriage. He offered me a big diamond ring and I accepted. We're planning to get married in spring, but now I'm nervous about meeting his parents for the first time, especially since he's the oldest child in his family. He told me not to worry because his parents are very kind and friendly. It's easy for him to say that because he's already met my parents several times.

Steve and I were in the same soccer team in high school. He told me that he had a good job selling insurance, but unfortunately, he didn't have any business cards on him. We talked for about 20 minutes, and he told me that he lived in a nearby neighborhood. We agreed to meet for a drink soon. I had to leave, as I was going to be late for work, so we exchanged phone numbers and said goodbye. Just before I left he asked me if he could borrow fifty dollars and said that he would phone me the following week. I thought that this was a little strange, but I lent him the money anyway.
